François Cartier, Eng, MBA, GPLLM
Lead, Strategic Projects, Green Ontario Fund
François is an industrial engineer by trade from Polytechnique Montréal where he developed a passion for operations research and complex optimization models with thousands of constraints. He completed his MBA (double majors in Finance & Global Management) and Master of Corporate Laws (GPLLM) at the University of Toronto. François worked in strategy and operations consulting at Capgemini (formerly Ernst & Young Consulting) and in M&A and PE investments at Direct Energy (subsidiary of Centrica plc), EnerCare inc., CDPQ and Hydro-Québec. François is a member of the Quebec Professional Engineers (OIQ) and the Institute of Corporate Directors.
Jean-Claude Lesage
Vice-president, Giant Factories Inc.
Having completed his studies in Industrial Engineering at Montreal’s Polytechnique, Jean-Claude Lesage joined the family business in 2002 and became its vice-president in 2008 to create the team and the tools needed to face the technological and growth challenges facing the industry. Solidly anchored in the family values that have made and kept Giant an industry leader for over 70 years, Jean-Claude aims to deliver results that have foundations in respect, integrity and safety.
Francois G. Levesque
Managing partner, Levesque Roy Conseil
After spending over a decade as a business engineering specialist for a major IT consulting and outsourcing corporation, Francois is currently co-founder and partner at Levesque Roy Conseil, co-founder and CFO at Tecor Transport and CFO at SIG.NUM Preemptive Healthcare. He likes to create a business case for anything.
Damien Lefebvre
President, Valtech Montreal and EVP, North America
Damien’s entrepreneurial career started in 2001 with Cesart, where he helped grow the e-marketing firm from a small group of innovative thinkers to a team of 100 highly specialized consultants in 3 major cities worldwide. After a short tenure at Gesca to develop new digital business opportunities, Damien launched w.illi.am/ in 2008 alongside co-president Annie Levesque, with the objective of developing a solid complete digital experience agency. By the time it was acquired by Valtech in 2015, w.illi.am/ had become an undisputed digital developments leader in North America, with top tier customers like Samsung, Bombardier, Mary Kay, Banque Nationale du Canada, Decathlon and several others.
Denis Lefrançois
President - Show Distribution
Denis Lefrançois is the founder and now ex-president of Solotech Inc., Canada’s leading company in rental and sale services of audio, video and lighting equipment for the live entertainment, TV & movie and corporate event industry. He drove Solotech’s spectacular growth by choosing key partners such as the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec. Having piloted the sale of Solotech to the Claridge investment fund, he joined Show Distribution to oversee the business growth, eventually taking the role of president. M. Lefrançois also sits as a board member for multiple non-profit organizations.
Jean-Nicolas Dupéré
Partner - Avenue Finance
Jean Nicolas Dupéré is a founding partner of corporate finance firm Avenue Finance, where his experience and expertise of over twenty years as an entrepreneur and manager make him a valuable consulting asset. His past achievements include being nominated as Executive Director, Economic Development Advisor and Senior Director of Corporate Finance at the Business Development Bank of Canada. Jean Nicolas holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Université de Sherbrooke and a Certificate in International Business from the Université du Québec à Montréal.
